Can I add Google Calendar to my group site? It's way easier for people to view then just noting events and dates in discussion posts.

And is it possible to edit a post after it's been published other than deleting and re-typing?

Hi Angeline,

(Second question first.) It is possible to edit a post after it's been published. In the upper-right corner of your submission, you should see a little "+" menu (next to the thumbs). Clicking this will open a menu which contains an action to edit you post. Only the author of a given post or reply can edit their own contribution

In our next release (due out next week), we will also add the ability to edit the subject line.

While we currently don't have tools to fully integrate with Google Calendar, you can use the "Announcement" tool (under site settings) to put links to any relevant destinations at the top of your member's home page. Since the announcement field accepts HTML, simply add the code
<a href="http://insertURLhere"> Text you want linked</a>

for any links you want referenced.

I hope this is helpful. For what it's worth, we're certainly considering adding a calendar/events tool in the future.

Thanks,
Luke (and the GroupSwim team)

Putting in my 2 cents: go to 30boxes.com (online calendar software) create your account populate the calendar for distribution and under Settings then
Sharing,  select the "Calendar Widget" item  and copy the html to paste into the
html of the post.  You will want to adust the width and height accordingly.

Great suggestion.  You can also do this on the site or group announcement space if you want to display the calendar for your group or team.
