Hello,

Which screen are you on when you are trying to post?  If you are reading an existing post, you are correct and there is not a post action at the moment (we'll be adding one).  If you would like to post, go into a discussion list, the sub group home, or the home page and you should see a post action or button.  Let us know if you need more guidance.  Thanks.

Hey jason --

I am on the newScale Knowledge Exchange home page whre it says Welcome Back Jim T. I see no Post New button or link here, nor any Add a Post to this Discussion link.

When I goto a discussion page, or on the home page for The Pool, I do see a Post New button and link. Should there be one on the Exchange home page?

As it is, I can respond to posts, or post new to a discussion already established, but I can't start a new skein myself.

Hey Jim,

If you look on the right side of the page under actions, you will see a link "Post a new Discussion." This allows you to start a new post.  I think in your case (newScale), it may not be showing up because they've configured the main group to be manager only for posting.  If you want to post, the best way is to go into the sub-group where your post will belong and post there.  If you want it at the mai level, you'll need to have one of the site mangers do it for you.  Hope this helps.

Jason

I'd like to add that, in our next release, this issue will be addressed with a new approach. There will always be a post button on the home page. This link will launch a popup window that will show you which of your groups you have right to post to, and take you to that post form. Hopefully this should alleviate some (rather valid) confusion.
