Yes, we are testing this right now. We look on track to have this updated capability by the end of this week, September 28th.

Minor update: as I'm sure you've noticed, we've changed the implementation of this, and deleted discussions now disappear completely.
I should note that there are a couple exceptions to this; the deleted discussion still shows up as listed...
1) In the author's history
2) In your watchlist if you were watching that discussion
3) For managers in the Activity Log.
These exceptions were added so that someone interested in the discussion would know where it went.
