When you're in the discussion, as we are here. You should see thumb icons in the upper-right of each post and reply. Simply click these 'thumbs' to rate the post as helpful or unhelpful. Helpful posts are highlighted to help you find them later. Unhelpful posts are hidden so you don't need to look at them anymore.

The one exception to this is that you do not thumb controls on your own post, but rest assured that others do. You can still see when other people rate you up (I just rated your comment for example), you just can't alter your own score
